PUPPETRY & MASK DESIGN: This course will explore the relationship between historic puppetry and mask and how they translated to modern theatre art. The students will learn the introduction of puppets and masks for ancient rituals, religious ceremonies, and social commentary in different countries and cultures. This course will examine the similarities of puppetry and mask between cultures and periods and understand them through visual research, design, and construction. [AH]
