PHIL 30100 - Ontological Commitments

ONTOLOGICAL COMMITMENTS: This course develops students’ skills in critical interpretation, analysis, argumentation, and expression through a study of contemporary analytic work on some of the central questions in ontology. What exists? Could things be different than they are - and if so, in what ways? What is time - and what is our relation to it? What is free will - and do we have it? What is identity - and do things and people have it through time? Prerequisite(s): Two Philosophy courses [AH]
