ADVANCED GERMAN: TEXTS AND CONTEXTS: Reading, discussion of, and writing about important themes, events and texts (e.g. short stories, short novels, personal narratives, films) from the 20th century, presented in their socio-historical contexts. Special emphasis on developing students’ reading and formal conversation skills and on cultural literacy. Continued practice of complex grammar structures and systematic vocabulary building.
