The Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Music pairs focused musical training with a broad liberal arts education. Core courses introduce skills in performance, Western music theory, and musicology. Through electives and an Independent Study, students choose an area of emphasis: performance, composition, music technology, recording and production, or a self-designed focus. The degree suits students preparing for music careers or graduate study, pursuing a double major, or seeking a flexible, individualized path in music.
