HIST 20212 - Workshop: Writing Creative Nonfiction

WORKSHOP: WRITING CREATIVE NONFICTION In this eight-week, quarter-credit course, we will focus on learning and practicing a variety of creative approaches to nonfiction writing. We will both be seeking out examples of inspired nonfiction as well as practicing out various styles. Approaches we will examine include gonzo journalism, memoir, travelogue, graphic history, even history by haiku. Each week, students will workshop their own writing trying out different approaches and styles.
