GMDS 35102 - Transnational Queer Film, Screen, and Fashion CulturesCourse Credit: 1 (WGSS) TRANSNATIONAL QUEER FILM, SCREEN AND FASHION CULTURES This class focuses on the representation of transnational queer lives in film, screen, and fashion cultures. Hence, this course offers an introduction to queer film studies, focusing on several key genres, directors, and themes in transnational queer film cultures and scholarship. Moreover, this class focuses on the role that fashion plays in queer culture. We will use films as our main texts to analyze queer fashion, and we will explore fashion(ing) transnational queer cultures. Prerequisite(s): GMDS-11000, GMDS-12000, GMDS-13000, GMDS-14000, or COMM-11100 or permission of instructor. [AH]
