Recommended: DECOLONIZING FASHION How do we form personal relationships with the things we wear? Are these things extensions of our bodies and ourselves? How does dress communicate identity and social boundaries? How are these items not just part of our lives, but the lives of the people who made them? What are the human and environmental costs of producing and disposing of these items, and how has the COVID-19 pandemic impacted the lives of workers in the garment industry? We will consider the things we wear as objects that have their own biographies, memories, and relationships. [R]
