BIOL 30500 - Cell PhysiologyCourse Credit: 1.25 (BCMB, NEUR) This course focuses on the cellular and molecular basis for complex physiological processes such as aging, disease pathologies, tissue formation and maintenance, and intracellular communication. Specific concepts covered include, signal transduction, membrane biology, cell division, maintaining cellular organization, and motility. The laboratory will include student-led investigations, using model organisms to explore complex cellular processes. Three hours of lectures and one laboratory/discussion section a week. Prerequisite(s): CHEM 11200 , minimum grade C-, and BIOL 20100 , minimum grade of C-; or permission of the instructor.; BIOL-30500L Annually.
