A study of the life and thought of Mahatma Gandhi and his philosophy of non-violence as reflected in his ideas about religion, politics, economics, social work, etc., in comparison with such movements as Sarvodaya, Civil Rights, Liberation Theology, and the Women’s Movement. Also includes discussion of contemporary Gandhians and their application of Gandhian thought to their personal lives and social movements.
