SOCIOLOGY OF GENDER: An examination of the role of gender in society, exploring how gender intersects with race, ethnicity, social class, sexuality, and nationality. The course examines biological, psychological, and social structural explanations of gender roles, with emphasis on the experiences of women and men within social institutions such as family, work, and education.
