MUSC 30300 - Basic Conducting

BASIC CONDUCTING A course designed to introduce the fundamental skills of conducting, including basic symmetric and asymmetric patterns, expressive gestures, cues, fermatas, and the development of independence of the right and left hands. Attention is also given to transposition, instrumental score reading, score preparation, and ensemble rehearsal techniques. Required of all B.M., B.M.E. and B.M.T. majors. Prerequisite(s): MUSC-10200. Annually.
