RELIGION, REASON AND REVOLUTION: REMAKING THE WORLD IN ENGLIGHTENMENT FRANCE This course explores the ways in which current debates in France about religion, civil society, gender roles, free speech and civil protest are informed by literary works, art, philosophy, and political writings of the Enlightenment.  Prerequisite(s): FREN-22000 or FREN-224xx or the equivalent.
