DIFFERENCE IN THE AGE OF TRUMP This course will ask students to consider the implications of mediated communication within America’s current political and cultural climate. Specifically, students will utilize critical rhetorical methods in order grapple with the concept of difference in current case studies ranging from the controversy surrounding Colin Kaepernick to the display of violence in Charlottesville, VA. Students will apply theoretical perspectives like whiteness, intersectionality, and Black feminist thought to examine examples of mediated difference.
