SEMINAR IN LATIN LITERATURE II Intensive readings in and critical study of significant Latin texts. Course may be arranged around a particular author, genre, period, or topic. Readings will change from year to year. Offerings include The World of Cicero; Vergil and the Epic Tradition; Roman Historians: Sallust, Livy, and Tacitus; Roman Comedy: Plautus and Terence; Roman Satire: Horace and Juvenal; Roman Erotic Poetry: Catullus, Horace, and Ovid; Petronius and Roman Novel; Medieval Latin.
