NORTH AFRICA AND FRANCE This course explores France’s deep and often problematic relationships with the francophone Maghreb (Morocco, Algeria, and Tunisia). Through a selection of historical and cultural readings, memoirs, novels and films, the course examines the evolution of these relationships from the nineteenth century and up to the present day.
