PHIL 21200 - Race, Gender and Justice

This course examines various historical and contemporary conceptions of race and gender and the relation these concepts have to past and present manifestations of injustice. The course critically engages: the onto - logical status of race and gender categories, the persistence of racial and gender groups/identities, and the psychological, corporeal, and economic effects of historical race-based and sex-based subjugation and disenfranchisement.
