Study of the basic polyphonic principles of the sixteenth and eighteenth centuries, including species counterpoint, imitation, canon, invertible counterpoint, two- and three-part inventions, and fugue. Required of all B.M. majors. Prerequisite(s): MUSC 20200  Alternate Years.
