ENGL 26103 - Advanced Poetry Writing

This course looks at a number of different contemporary poets and approaches to poetry. Students explore (and experiment within their own poetry) a number of traditional and contemporary techniques as well as consider prose-poetry, spoken word poetry, and other artistic threads prominent in the contemporary poetry landscape. Along with the reading of published works of poetry, students explore aspects of craft and style in their own writing as well as provide constructive feedback for their fellow writers in weekly workshops.
