RELS 21600 - Chinese Religions

This course primarily examines Chinese “popular religions,” and the three formalized traditions of Confucianism, Daoism, and Buddhism, as practiced both historically and in contemporary life in China, Taiwan, and Chinese Diaspora communities in Asia and the West. This course also examines the presence of other non-indigenous Chinese religions (e.g., Islam and Christianity) in China. [AH, C, R]
